Trail Ride!

Today was my absolute dream day for a ride. It was gorgeous and the sky was a perfect shade of blue, with barely a cloud in sight. I hated to ride in the ring and work Lim really hard, especially after yesterday, so Kimmie, Kristen and I went out into the fields behind CVF, which are open for miles and miles and are mostly free of holes. We saw wild turkeys, lots of cows, and buzzards, none of which Limerick even batted an eyelash at. I was so proud of him! I did however learn that he does not like to be anywhere other than in the lead. He told me so by jigging and tossing his head like an idiot, but if that's the worst that he does when he's unhappy, I'm thrilled :) We mostly just walked around and explored various fields which, unlike at my old farm, I'd be perfectly safe walking around out there by myself. They're open and don't involve woods, and the barn is always in sight, which makes me feel much better and I think helps Limerick feel safe too.

We also took lots of pictures, which turned out super cute but don't do it justice because you just can't tell how beautiful it is until you see it in person!
