Hey, blogosphere! I haven't quite decided what I want to do with this blog... I thought I was officially finished with blogging, but now that Tim is back at it, I find myself wanting to share our progress with all of you :) I'll try to post as often as possible, though I totally understand if my inconsistency now means that I have no readers.
Tim had his final checkup at R&R today and was officially cleared to start jumping. I jumped him tonight for the first time since september. Can you believe it? SEPTEMBER. He has been back in work for the past 1.5 months and has been super! Tonight was no exception. In other exciting news, I got a Devoucoux while Timmers was broken and decided to sell my County jump saddle. So I rode tonight for the first time in a month (I went to the Bahamas for Jan term), in my brand new Chiberta, on my newly jumping horse... life doesn't get much sweeter :) Oh and a big shoutout to Hill for coming out to video and set jumps XO
Yeah for a healed horse! I went back and read the previous post about his injury - we use Dr. N too - love him :) Looking forward to reading about your adventures.
WELCOME BACK! I have missed updates of yourself & Timmy. I haven't been on instagram since before Xmas so apologies if there were updates there :/
Yay for a new saddle & indeed saddle time + return to jumping! Love all the photos and video, I hope that you can find time to keep up the blog as I for one love hearing all about your adventures! Out of pure nosyness...what took you to the Bahamas for a month? And can I say that I am green with envy! #jealous.com
Haha it's good to be back! Not many updates on Instagram actually, just lots of pictures of the beach/ocean/weird animals.
I promise to try my best! I went to the Bahamas with a professor from my college. A group of 20 or so of us went and carried out research projects while there. It was fantastic!
Glad you're back, we missed you! Just out of curiosity, what made you go with the Devoucoux? I thought you loved your County? So happy Tim I'd all healed and back at it :-)
I thought I loved my County too until I rode in a few Devoucoux saddles and even some CWDs when I was trying horses over the summer. County does use incredibly nice leather, but I really wanted the grippiness and feel of the french brands. I also really wanted the external thigh block to help keep my leg in place. I had been considering selling my County jump saddle for a while and then it turned out that it no longer fit Tim, so I thought the time was right to look at other brands!
Last picture - "I'm allergic to those lady! - Stop teasing me with them!"
