Strange Coincidences

I'm currently in Florida for my sister's field hockey tourney and it's beyond gorgeous! It's definitely rough spending Thanksgiving at field hockey games and getting up early when I'm supposed to be on break, but I got an unexpected surprise yesterday morning when we drove to the fields... The tournament is being held at the Wellington Polo Club, and it's absolutely fabulous :) As opposed to feeling a little out of place among throngs of teenage girls in uniforms, I feel like I have some sort of claim to the place because I doubt they know anything about horses or polo. However, it makes me miss Limerick a lot and wish that I could be using the break to ride!

My parents and I had a break between games yesterday, so I asked my dad if we could drive back into the Polo development. There are tack stores on every street corner, massive indoor arenas everywhere you look, and extravagant farms with some of the nicest facilities I've ever seen. We also drove into the equestrian neighborhood/development that hosts the Winter Equestrian Festival, and it was like walking into a dream. Fenced paths next to sparkling blue lakes, meant just for horses and providing easy access to the WEF facilities. We saw big groups of horses and riders going to and from the arenas... They were fancyyyyyy!

I spent all day today at more games and we're now hopefully heading to the beach ☀! I'm assuming Limmers is doing well. My B.O. contacts you almost immediately if anything at all is astray, even for a tiny little cut, so he's in good hands and is probably enjoying his little vacay. I said "coincidences" because I randomly saw a field hockey girl from Louisville who also rides at my home barn! The likelihood of running into her was slim to none, as this is the national field hockey festival and there are a couple thousand players there from all over the nation. I'll update again when I get home/back to Limmers :) Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and maybe did some black Friday shopping!
