Because she asked for it...

Here are some pictures of Collyn falling off in her lesson yesterday:

she was perfectly fine and hopped right back on... I wouldn't be this evil if it had been serious!

Now that I got that out of my system, not much to report other than I had a short and lovely ride today in the sunshine :) I started out bareback and then decided I wanted to do some real work, so I ran to grab my saddle. Trot and canter work followed, as well as the most perfect walk-canter transition we've ever had! I mean some steps of walk, I asked for the transition, and he smoothly stepped into canter without any walk or trot steps before picking it up!! The only thing that would've made it better is proof of the awesomeness... Alas, I had no one to record for me, so you'll just have to take my word for it.

No riding tomorrow as I'm volunteering at the vet all day. Every other day this week should work out though, and this weekend we're either going to the schooling day at the local show barn or XC schooling depending on the weather. In other news, FITS got back to me about my ripped breeches, and they've decided to replace them entirely :)!!! All I can say is, what great customer service!

Kimmie's right hand represents the end of the girth. Really wish my pony wasn't mutant and that he could wear normal horse size clothes

Merry Christmas Eve!!

Limerick and I would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas Eve/Happy Holidays and to thank you for following our journey thus far :)

Today started out right with a relaxing and fun ride. It was just me and E at the barn, so it was pretty chill and I didn't have to worry about avoiding tons of people in the indoor. We schooled transitions, got a great round trot, and even managed quite a few lovely walk-canter transitions. He was still sticky  about them today, but not nearly as bad as he can be. I carried a dressage whip and wore spurs, both of which I had to use... he seemed happy and had his ears forward for most of the ride, which I consider a victory in itself! Then we headed outside for a quick cool down and hack in the foggy and grey morning. Limmers was adorable today and super loving, which was obviously his christmas present to me <3

After that, I did non-horsey things like go to church and have dinner with the fam. Tomorrow, I might get to see Lim in the morning and then will be driving around all day, visiting various family members. Wednesday, we leave for Florida, so I won't see the pony again until January :((

UPDATE: My little sister just started a blog about our cat, Rue! If you have some time, take a second to check it out... he's pretty adorable :) First he's sour, then he's sweet

I leave you with some pictures from today:
