Sorta Silent Sunday

Hi everyone! Not sure if I ever mentioned this, but Tim and I are home for the holidays and boarding at a new barn... I'm kinda lonely out there, as I don't really know anyone, but Hillary was kind enough to go out there with me :) She also took some pics, and I have to say that I think our dressage is much improved! For comparison, here's a pic from one of our first shows:

And from today! Huge thanks to Hill for keeping me company and providing sweet pics for this post <3 Also, the saddle I'm riding in is actually my brand new devoucoux makila, not the loaner!! It's beyond perfect. Also also, I body clipped Tim yesterday (for the second time this year) and forgot how amazing/fantastic/wonderful it is to have a hairless horse

December '14. Slowly but surely... also MY HORSE IS ROUND WHILE I'M RIDING HIM!!!

Cookie..?

Love this one

Supposed to be a long and low warm-up, but long and low isn't Tim's style

Warm-up

He's just really cute

He's even kinda round tracking right!!! That used to happen 5% of the time and now it happens maybe 20%

Tim says 'I is giraffe'

Showing off my nasty habit of hanging on the inside rein

lol

Clipped Tim is super shiny and cute

Finals suck

Sorry guys, I'm just now getting to Day 2 of the 30 day challenge :( Exams start tomorrow and things have been hectic the past couple of weeks as the semester winds down. The question for day 2 is: Your most intense/exciting moment at a show

Hmm I would have to say that this honor goes to Limerick, though it really wasn't his fault. We were warming up for dressage at the KHP 2 years ago when all of the sudden, this horse on the edge of the warm up ring freaked out and dumped its rider. Said horse then turned and took off like a bat out of hell, of course choosing to run straight at me and Limmers. Limerick, trying to save both of us (or prolly just himself - let's be real) from certain peril, launched himself out of the way while simultaneously throwing his head/neck up in the air and smacking me in the face. So that's how I got a bloody and very sore nose at my first ever event ;)

Two of my favorite pictures of us, just because:

My last ride on him

And because it's almost Christmas :)

Training ride!

Today, I went out to watch J, dressage trainer extraordinaire, ride Timmers and whip his butt into dressage-y shape. I decided to take my camera along, since I can rarely resist inundating you all with pictures ;)

I realized I never posted pictures of my loaner!! It's not exactly sparkling clean, but gorgeous regardless

Completely in love

HOLY STRETCH
