Stir Crazy

I go to school in semi-rural KY, in a town that is not well equipped to handle snow (or ice, or sleet, or any combination of wintery shit that falls from the sky). We got almost a foot of snow on Monday and ever since then, we have pretty much been trapped on campus. A foot of snow even warranted TWO snow days (supposedly only the 2nd or 3rd time classes have been canceled since the civil war). If that wasn't bad enough, we've also been lucky enough to experience record breaking low temperatures. I had an 8 A.M. class on Friday morning... the actual temperature was -18 degress. Let's not even talk about wind chill. Kentucky is officially going to get kicked out of the south, y'all.

This was our snow day last year, the first in the school's history. My roommate and I were on the college website #15minutesoffame
Our snow day(s) this year have been a little more intense (notice my hair matted with ice)

Anyways, I digress. The point of this post is that until yesterday, I hadn't seen my horse for a week and I'm pretty sure he hadn't seen much of the world outside of his stall until I decided that we should traipse around in the snow... yes, I'm crazy. I obviously trust my horse A LOT, but bless his heart, he didn't put a toe out of line. Here are some pictures of our snowy adventure:

Tim says 'fuck this. Take me back to Florida'
this is the most snow I've ever seen (besides when I went skiing in CO)

And for good measure, here's a video of Tim and his bestie, Tiamo, having a grand ol' time in the indoor

Splish Splash

Hillary and I decided to have some fun today and went down the trail! There's a creek at the end, and we had tried to go down there before but it had always been too steep or muddy, but today it was dry enough for us to go down into the water. Limmers went down the rocky bank like an old pro, and these shenanigans resulted:

Someone had a little too much fun
